A spectre is haunting Knox County: the spectre of discount mulch!
Those of you in the Knoxville-know know that investigative journalist extraordinaire Don Dare, once unleashed, is as tenacious as a rabid attack dog. His most recent discovery has been the realization that Knox County has been allowing a private company to sell the county's tree/scrub waste as lucrative mulch. While this, in and of itself, might not be necessarily a bad thing, Dare's investigation demonstrated that the county has been using tax payer money to fund the advertising of this mulch product, much to the chagrin of local mulch producers without county subsidization. Those of you that are not in Knoxville currently can little realize the gravity of this situation and its effects on us here! When I was first hipped to this, I could barely contain the vomit from spewing from my throat, especially when I realized how out of character such underhanded political dealings are in Knoxville. Woe to us who have bought into the LIE that is $5 scoops of mulch - the blood is on our hands!
