Countdown to pop idol complete melt-down - Death Watch 2007

In an early post on the VEEB, I discussed the craziness of Ms. Britney Spears. Now I read that her ex-husband has been given custody of their children. Now, I'm no fan of any of this sort of celebrity gossip, but it sure doesn't look good for her now, does it? Taking her children seems like the last or maybe the next to the last straw. I mean, how far is she from a fist-full of sleeping pills, a bottle of vodka, and an afternoon by herself without her handlers? She has gone from psuedo-child porn musician to slutty 19 year old to has-been joke to most likely to buy the farm in the next few weeks. We are all responsible, I suppose, because our larger plastic disposable culture demands more horse to feed the monkey! Lord help her and get her the F out of the limelight ASAP before she becomes a tragic trivia answer!
