Things to be thankful for...

Number 1, first and foremost, is that I have passed my Group One comp exam. It was touch and go there for a while, and I worried that I would lose control of my bowels briefly in the morning, but I remembered those great words of wisdom that "the butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart." Regardless if they believed my answers to be an intelligent romp through American history, or merely workmanlike and passable, is irrelevant. It is over and done and I have but one more test to go before I am unleashed into the world of ABD. This does not produce in me cocksuredness, as I realize that I still have yet another interrogation at the hands of my Group Two committee, where they will decide if I am ready for Total Social Conversion or if I am unmutual and must be banished from the program. This will, however, hopefully not involve drugs or psychic manipulation with electronic torture devices. Tryptophan overdosing today does not count...

Enjoy, and happy holidays!
